Yogurt, kefir, saurerkraut, kimchi and sourdough are all fermented foods. Adding some of these foods in your diet may help ensure good intestinal bacteria for better digestion.
What are prebiotics? They are plant fibre in certain foods, which help feed the good microflora living in the large intestine. There are two types, resistant starch found in grains, tubers, legumes, nuts and seeds and oligosaccharides found in fruits and vegetables.
